How to Charge Your Electric Car at the Allgäu-Hotel Elbsee
When you check in at the front desk, please mention that you arrived in an electric car. There, you’ll receive the activation card, which is valid for your entire stay and for all five charging stations. Plug in your vehicle, hold the card up to the reader, and start charging—the electricity will be added to your bill, which you’ll pay on-site as usual when you check out.
You don’t need an app, a roaming plan, or a charging card from a provider. All you need to bring is your Type 2 charging cable, since there are no cables permanently installed at the charging stations.
Plug it in and get started
The charging station is located in the hotel parking lot, just a few steps from the entrance. Plug in, grab your luggage, and put your car keys away—for the rest of your stay.
Because after that, charging happens all on its own: while you’re sitting on the balcony, in the sauna, or enjoying a gourmet breakfast in the morning. No need to move your car at three in the morning, no parking violation fines, and no searching for an open charging station in an unfamiliar area. If you want more power, just walk the few meters down to the campground entrance by the lake.
On the morning of your departure, you can hop into a full car. Or you can just leave it there: The biking and hiking trail starts 50 meters from the house, and bikes are available for rent at the lake.
